Wynjara - Wynjara

Nocturnal Art will always surprise us, and that's definitely good, because after Nile and their brutal Egyptian death metal, here comes Wynjara who are playing brutal death metal in the Australian Aboriginal way! Still, the band has been founded in the US, and not by wimpy beginners: the line-up here is composed of JP Soars (ex-Pain God, ex-Malevolent Creation and right now in Divine Empire) and Jason Morgan (ex-Monstrosity) on guitars, of Mike Moreno on bass, and of mister Korg or Yamaha on drums. But Wynjara is completely different from the former bands of its founders. Brutality and speed are there of course, the guttural voices too, but most of the songs are based on melodies (whether acoustic, whether in clear sound) inspired by the Aboriginal beliefs ('Namarrkon', 'Waratah', 'Ngalyod', 'Barnumbirr'), and the technical level is simply perfect! In addition to that, you'll even have a cover of the Scorpion's 'Animal Magnetism'… really good, can't wait for the next one!
