With a band name like Well Of Souls and being signed to Brainticket, it's pretty evident what we should have here- A hybrid of Candlemass and Solitude Aeturnus, and indeed we do. In this case, that is definitely not a bad thing, musically speaking. This is prime-cut doom, full of crushing riff dirges, just enough tempo changes (and acoustic guitar) to keep the feel but keep interest and plenty of somber-yet-endearing melodies. -Dave Lamay (joemetal.com)
