"Goreland", such a fitting title, considering there are 29 bands on this cd who are more then capable of creating a shit-eating, fist-fucking, flesh eating frenzy. This new compilation cd from Black Hole Productions features bands from all over the current scene with various styles, and from all over the world, and one of the nice things about this is, you are guarenteed to find at least a handful of bands you don't know yet.
Starting off this disc is one of the main goregrind acts from Brazil called "Lymphatic Phlegm", building up with a nice eerie intro, and then setting the tone of what to come with their unrelentless mechanical gore attack, a style that will come back throughout the album. Wich brings me to another great thing about this album, the great diversity of styles featured on this disc, ranging from Carcass influenced old-school grindcore to computerized industrial grind madness to "standard" goregrind. Definatly one of the best points of this album I must say. - Rancid News
