Brume, Jorg Thomasius, Stylus(His Masters Voice!) and Edward Ka-Spel. Aside from the unfortunate addition of the latter, Globus & Decibel is an unsung gem. The four artist comp is one of the greatest ideas for experimental music. It's like each artist gets an e.p. with which to work, enough time to work out some ideas and capture the listener, not so much time that the ideas get run into the ground. And if the compiler is skilled, all the various "e.p.'s" are woven together just the right way so the entire recod is seamless. I personally don't care for LPD, so i wont even discuss the Ka-Spel work. But even so, I've had a personal copy of this record for years and listen to it for pure enjoyment every few months. Besides, its got a twenty minute work by Stylus, which is really His Masters Voice, so this is the only other real work by that Jeph Jerman, Randy Greif and Rick Kitch project that exists. The Brume is sublime and Jorg Thomasius as always is an enigma. Great artwork.
