i just got this in the mail and all's i got to say is save your money. i can`t believe this is the same band. why they even put this out is beyond me. they now sound like a bad rock band that sucked only now to try their luck at death metal. there new sound reminds me of really bad thrash from the 80's(think "atrophy, faith or fear, epidemic, defiance, etc."). gone are the gruff and harsh vocals(for the most part),replaced now with bland, uncommanding ones. the music is weak, the lyrics are weak, the delivery is weak, this sucks!!! they even throw funky sounding pieces in certain songs. what the fuck is going on??? if all that i said is still not enough to convince you not to buy this piece of shit, just take a look at some of the song titles(example:"joy in the sun, don't want to be born"). yes they are as bad as you think. "joy in the sun" will have you wanting to take the disc out and start chewing on it. imagine all your favorite death metal bands when they completely changed and you might start to guess at how bad this really is. every song is so simplistic that it wouldn't surprise me in the least if all of them were written in under 2 minutes. they really sound as if they want to go pop. the fire has gone out in these legends. some songs hint at what they sounded like back in they're prime but even these are not enough to hold my attention or gain my forgiveness. there are 15 songs total on this disc and i'd have to say that every other song is barely o.k. but thats it. i can see some poser listening to this in his car at a very high volume trying to look cool only to look like a complete fag to anyone who knows anything about what real death metal should sound like. i'm out $12.00 and the only thing this c.d. is good for is the thirty five cents its going to get me in trade from my local record store. fuck you "unleashed".
