Vladimir is what we can call a really complete artist. Only member of no more than five musical projects (WEEPING BIRTH, MIRRORTHRONE, ACCURST JOURNEY, DEAFENING LONELINESS and UNHOLY MATRIMONY), he knows how to seduce and surprise the listener with the quality of his productions. This time we can not only appreciate a 50 minutes long concept album with an exceptionnal quality, but it's also delivered in some factory-made packaging with booklet and lyrics, plus some cover and layout made by Vladimir himself with incredible mastery and professionalism. This concept album, which is talking about love and passion's strength of destruction, go off all along 10 tracks made of the best things that black metal can have : power, rage, sadness, hate, harmony and melody. Everything has been made intelligently, tracks are different from each other, sometimes extremely fast, sometimes full of breaks and rythm changes, sometimes even (in the two intrumentals titles) symphonic and appeasing, sometimes technical, the music played by UNHOLY MATRIMONY will surely be appreciated by every single extreme metal fan in general and black metal fan in particular. Even the sound, elaborated by Vladimir in his own bedroom, is as good as what we can do in a real studio nowadays !!! In short, an impressive album that should, for sure, find some good label soon, and indispensable for everyone who likes great black metal. Now we just have to hope that a drummer will join the band one day or another. Congratulations !
