TORMENT DEFINED - "Sigils of the Ancient Ones", Chaos Theorem Productions

Never in the deepest chasms of the most complex nightmare could any but this lot create such a classic. "Sigils of the Ancient Ones" brings to mind many possible influences, yet none you could definitely put your finger on due to the creative execution. The eerie intro opens a window to what lies ahead, as its climax leads to the album's first track "Defilement by Moonlight." From there on, it just gets darker and heavier. In the areas of brutality and precision - many bands try, some come close; Torment Defined succeeds! Clearly at the forefront of a genre which, at the moment, includes only them. This promises to be only the beginning.
