Excellent viking metal from Sweden! Valdr Galga gives you the impression you are back in the days of the vikings and in the middle of a battlefield. Very good keyboards, raw screaming vocals and guitar riffs sweep you along, like you are marching together with the viking hordes. Thyrfing's debut album already impressed me, but Valdr Galga is even better. Firstly it has a way better production and secondly the songs have a bit better structure.

Valdr Galga is a must have for viking metal fans! For everyone who has never heard of viking metal, this might be the album to start with. It is more open than most of the other viking metal which is around, mostly due to its excellent production. Highlights of this album are Storms of Asgard, The Deceitful and Firever.
