After I finished listing the new record 'Farsotstider' I came to the happy conclusion that they stayed true to their own sound. No happy folk songs, but real heavy songs in the vein of the 'Godfather' of vikingmetal Bathory. I don't know if the death of Quorthon had to do with it, but I hear more of his style in this Thyrfing record then ever before. So if you expected nicely sing a long songs you probably are not going to be happy with this record. If you (like me) like the more midtempo, epic, heavy and sometimes psychedelic way of viking metal, you won't be disappointed in this records I think. -Pitfather
