I have been playing and studying guitar for 7 years now. Through that time I have had the privilege of listening to vast amounts of guitarists try and bring something new to the table of guitar instrumental music. And that is just what Thom Mathews does with Mindcraft. A few highlights would have to be: Prepare For A Crash Landing (the opening song) has earth shattering speed and arpeggio runs that are untouchable. Acid Membrane throws crazy time signitures and surpise bursts of Thom's famous fretboard antics right in your face. And The title track mindcraft brings in Thom's emotional and heartfelt legato and tapping licks for a beatiful arrangement of melodies certain to be enjoyed by fans of Petrucci, Satriani, and Vai. Don't pass up this amazing cd. Thom is the future of Instramental/shred guitar!
