Biography:

For the past 6 years the UK's The River have been forging their own brand of Oneiric Doom Metal incorporating seriously heavy riffing, enchanting female vocals & lashings of melody. Having produced 4 exceptionally well received demos (which enabled the band to play live with The Lord Weird Slough Feg, Reverend Bizarre, Brocas Helm and Esoteric) the band have now signed to Retribute Records. Their debut cd 'Drawing Down The Sun' is set to show another significant progression in both playing and songwriting, incorporating some left of field ideas with monumentally heavy riffs. Rest assured the band's knack of writing un-ashamed yet challenging Doom Metal will be further explored with this release!
