Well, finally I have come to this review. I've begun with the stuff that needed reviewed badly due to time from date of release, and this is one of the oldest I have right now. This CD was delayed for I don't know how long by the label on top of my delay in review, so I guess it's no big deal at this point since Tony Mikkelson (band mainman and only member) has since released two or so CDs since this one was recorded. I can see the progression that has been made with this project. The old demos presented on the compilation of TD material that DarkBlackMusik put out is put to shame by the arrangements and playing on this disc, and there have been more improvements past this on Tony's upcoming material. I like the amount of thought there are in this death/black band's lyrics, too. Tony thinks things out. He's one of those musicians who won't let anything rest until it's exactly the way he wants it. It's a good thing TD isn't a live band, because it would be a bitch to memorize all the stuff he writes! It's very philosophical, very intelligent, and above all, there are a ton of fuckin' words. I mean, a LOT of words in some songs. It makes for some good reading during listening. I guess the bottom line on this release, and I know I've skipped over some description I have in past reviews of TD material - because I've said a lot about it already, and many undergrounders already know of the band - is that this is an underground band, and it always will be. That in and of itself is one of the best things about it. This will be true forever. It's cheap as hell direct from Tony Mikkelson, so contact him and get your copy.
