Serpens aeon plays destructive and violent yet catchy death thrash in the vein of slayer and morbid angel, the production/ sound quality isn't that good but that doesn't take away from the atmosphere of the album. There are these breaks between songs that sound like aztec rituals which also gives the album a distinct taste and edge. all in all any metal head will love this cd

I got a promo cd of "Dawn of Kouatl", and it's just mind blowing. Fucking high-speed galloping riffs of heavy BlackDeathrash metal, they can go from blast beats to thrash tempos to epic riffing, intro and outros (or maybe Aztec rituals) with what I think are ancient instruments. All the tracks kick ass, they even cover "Extremely Rotten Flesh" originally recorded by Grave. The performance is perfect or close to it, insane drumming, amazing bass lines, the guitar riffing and soloing are the perfect mix of epic and melodic, the vocals are easy to understand but still dark and heavy. The production on this cd is good, although the guitars could be a little louder. Serpens Aeon's "Dawn of Kouatl" is with no doubt a great debut album of pure Epic Metal of Death.
