This is awesome to say the least. Volcano is Satyricon's latest creation of Blackmetal madness. The songs have that catchy 80's Heavy metal feel, but retain that Blackmetal feel. This is my favorite Satyricon album along with The Shadowthrone.

Brilliant. Those who claim Satyr sold out, are afraid you will hear something you can not identify. Volcano is Satryicon's best realease to date, and is stronger than ever. Black Metal is not dead.
Darkthrone and Satryicon live on.

I like this album better than any of their others.
Satyr has wisely spent a long time polishing this one prior to release and it sounds great.
Still with a strong BM vibe it shows some 80s mainstream metal roots.
This was my fave release of 2002.
