There is just something about the way Rebreather play their abrasive, yet melody ridden sludgecore that makes them untouchable by most of their peers. The labyrinth like riffs and grooves, the simple yet crushing beats and Barley's schizophrenic vocal delivery that ranges from nerve shredding screams to melodic, yet drug addled clean vocals. It all adds up to a sound that only Rebreather is capable of. Rebreather are sludgecore perfection, but they have so many elements to their sound than just sludge. So this is one for all metal and heavy rock fans to check out as well. This record is as painful as getting a railroad spike driven into the brain.
