Mysterious and magical is the world you're thrown in when listening to the second opus of Raate. Compared to the demo (or halki kuoleen maan, if you're talking about the repress) the band leaves aside evident Burzum influences and the Finnish band actually succeeds in defining their own and unique style of Black Metal. Its full of sadness, solitude and the pictures that come to my mind, are those of desolate landscapes, old ruins and windmills, all of it in a melancholic twilight.
