Yet another vintage cassette! (used but in great condition)

Way back in the late 80's, there was an aggressive metal band that was changing the rules... They didn't like the glitz and the glam, and these guys were angry. Their name was Prong, and their style in the late 80's/early 90's sounded a bit liked a slowed down Anthrax with a mix of Biohazard thrown in... ... The music has a slow, heavy steady beat, with sound speed metal riffs thrown in, but mostly slower, heavier, darker metal riffs. The vocal style is basically a distorted yell, and with an album title like "Prove you Wrong" you could expect angst, and brother, you get it. The title song is also accompanied by songs like "Hell if I could", (I'd give you hell if I could) "Torn between" and "Shouldn't have bothered", songs anti the system, anti the man, and just tired of stereotypes and the way things are being run and people are being treated. (Actually a very popular metal theme near the early 90's).

It is some of these songs that are the best on the album, "Hell if I could", "Irrelevant Thoughts" which is the first song on the disc, "Unconditional" the slow instrumental "Territorial Rites", a pretty good speed cover of "Get a grip (on yourself)" a punk tune by the Stranglers, "Shouldn't I have bothered" and the album ender, "No Way to deny it"... And of course, the powerful title track.

There are some fair songs on the release as well, but this album would really set the stage for many metal/industrial/hardcore acts to come, and even be a nice jumping point for their own next few releases. Not their best, but nonetheless a good and influential album.
