The Swedish band THE PROJECT HATE MCMXCIX was established in 1998 when

Kenth Philipson and Entombed-bassist Jörgen Sandström decided to form a band to

do something refreshing togetherin the world of metal. With the joining of female

vocalist Mia Stahl the goals became crystal clear in what way the music should be

heading. With combining B-tuned guitars, techno influences,programmings and

keyboards together with the heaviest of riffs and roars, along with the angelic

voice, the first steps were done. With a three-track promotiontape recorded

together with Dan Swanö in the Sanctuary Studios, Örebro, Sweden, the band went shopping for a deal. Massacre Records signed this talented outfit and in mid '99 the band started recording their debut "CYBERSONIC SUPERCHRIST" again with Dan Swanö. The album title gets the point as it combines most different influences, just like the sound of the band. Brutality and beauty at its finest forms is delivered, dominated by Jörgen's roars and Mia's wonderful voice. Kenth Philipson, who is responsible for all sounds, adds heavy and right-on-target riffs and electronics on a high international level. Fans of brutal music will appreciate this but also fans of Theatre of Tragedy or Gothic will enjoy their sounds. Top-producer Dan Swanö gave the songs the perfect sounds and gives THE PROJECT HATE MCMXCIX the last kicks. With "CYBERSONIC SUPERCHRIST" the band has delivered an extraordinary debut which will definetly cause a big bunch of attention.
