OPERA IX returns after the worldwide acclaimed "The Black Opera" (over
15.000 copies sold !!!) with their fourth full length album, "Maleventum".
This record will indeed be their break-through release...
Despite the remarkable production of the previous album the band decided to
go further... and entered Italy"s DAMAGE Inc., a fully digital
state-of-the-Art studio where also ANATHEMA and LACUNA COIL recorded
a few records (among many others). The result is indeed awesome, with an
outstanding sound's definition and a much better recorded and performed
rhythm section (featuring new talented drummer TARANIS).

It"s also known by this date that an important line-up change also happened
on the lead vocals front, having the band replaced their former vocalist
with new screamer MADRAS and the darkman pays no fear / no price to his
predecessor....
The band"s esoteric and aggressive compositions are still lead by old-date
warlocks OSSIAN (guitars), VLAD (bass) and LUNARIS (keyboards).

The project Opera IX not only is a musical concept but a marriage of Art and
Religion where a strong and straight lifestyle prevails on the daily life of
modern man.

Opera IX walks along the occult roads of the old Pagan knowledge throughout
meditation and rites.
They explore the dark meanders surrounding men, travelling through old
legends, forgotten traditions and superstition....
The real essence of Opera IX is hidden in their lyrics and the music they
compose, nothing else is worth saying.
About their beliefs, Opera IX honour the Celtic Gods and the powers of
Nature, but, above all, they strongly believe in the power of their minds
and spirits, in the energy inside everyone.
