Very nice third studio album for Omenya, following the remarked "The Dark Meditations" on Tantric Harmonies. Moving somewhere on calm, introvert waters between purely ambient soundscapes and slow, ethnic beats (think Muslimgauze on valium), "Ancient Rites" ends up being a surprisingly coherent album that works very well at evocating nature-inspired, calm and meditative moments. A beautiful and very enjoyable home-listening album.
