Necrophagia "Nightmare Scenarios" DVD www.redstream.org Necrophagia's "Nightmare Scenarios" DVD is a deadly whallop of death and blood. It's a disc, to boot, that will satisfy on a double level. Fans of microbudget, ubergore horror will get a kick out of the sick and ultraviolent nature of the music videos presented herein. And those inspired by black-infused death metal will rage in demonic joy at the nasty, horrific death metal purveyed here by Necrophagia. The music is rife with ominous atmosphere, flaying guitars, smashing percussion and mind-crushing vocal grinding. The visuals present a variety of violent scenarios and there is much pleasing low budget gore unleashed upon the viewer. In addition, the DVD features Coffin Joe as an introducer and also as a video presence. Plus there are devilishly lovely features such as How to Build a Monster, The Uncreation of Music(k), interviews with such folk as Paul Naschy, Killjoy, Rose Moral and more, building of the sets, behind the scenes material, an appearance by Jenna Jameson, a still gallery and a Sickness trailer!!! Eat it up!

Necrophagia’s latest outing into the world of B-movie horror schlock comes in the form of seven visual offerings for songs from The Divine Art Of Torture, with two alternate versions. The videos are as cheesy as the music, yet highly entertaining, with (generally) unrealistic special effects, and lashings (hoho) of cult movie worship. A fairly hefty set of extras provides amusing and interesting watching, while the sheer enthusiasm on display compensates for any shortcomings in realism. If you are a fan of the group’s simple but fun death metal, or bad horror flicks, Nightmare Scenarios is well worth checking out. Russell - ZERO TOLERANCE Magazine / United Kingdom

Great DVD. Has more videos than 'Through Eyes of the Dead' but I prefer the video direction on 'Through Eyes...'. There's more bonus material, including a trailer for the next Necrophagia DVD, but the interviews aren't quite as good as the first DVD. Overall it is just as good as 'Through Eyes of the Dead' (ie. great).
