The opening song sets the right tone for the rest of the album, which is very strong and to the point. The whole concept breathes a certain nihilistic unhappy feeling, doom and despair drips from my speakers without becoming whiny or pathetic. For me personally the highlights are the drumming and the singing. There is a lot of twin vocals and it gives the music a great vibe. As for the drumming there is a lot of detail involved without going over the top. What strikes me the most is that although they are a rather traditional doom band they do have their own feel and style which is much warmer.
