This album sees the Norwegians take a more experimental take on black metal with this, part two if you like of the absoloutely crushing "Wolf's Lair Abyss" e.p before it. Kicking off with the same riff which punctuated "Wolf's..." you can really hear the high level of skill involved in this horde. After the military style drumming of fourth song "View From Nihil" the album explodes into silence, then re--establish it'self into the "juxtapositioned emptiness" of the first song from part three. This leaves us with three tracks proper, including the the black slam fest of "To Daimonion" and into the end. A really good effort all in all, this does take a few listens to fully appreciate it's full necrotic splendour. Buy or die! 9/10!
