High quality testament of the one and only Mayhem filmed in France, 2000. Razor wire, machine guns, a corpse painted nutter stalking about yhe place cutting himself with a big fuck off knife and a (real) pig's head impaled on a stake center stage! Business as usual for these guys and business is good. Crashing through this place which sees them give a masterclass in black metal.
The tracklist is ace as well, "Freezing Moon", "Deathcrush", "I Am Thy Labyrinth", " Pure Fucking Armageddon" and "Carnage" are spat out in a barragge of Hellhammer's precision and dirty bass courtesy of Necrobutcher alongside newer songs from "Wolf's Lair Abyss" and the experimental "Grand Declaration Of War".
The playing is tight as Satan's jockstrap and the pig's head gets chucked into the crowd as usual. Apart from a couple of interviews that's your lot, but the gig is first class and well worth buying. Necro! 9/10!
