| This album illustrates why production takes all the life out of music. The albums that are the most feelful and authentic sounding are the ones with little or no production, as evidenced here. It sounds like they are recording it in front of you, no little nerdy dick is twiddling knobs to hide mistakes and clean things up. We as humans fuck up all the time, people seem to want perfect packages with a thin shit veneer over it. There's no veneer on this, it lives and breathe's pretty much the way it was spewed out, the way our ears should hear it, warts and all. Fuck computers and technology. Everyone should have this if they think they are worth their salt. |
