5 friends in the Netherlands started a band called "Mysto Dysto" and released their first vinyl "The rules have been disturbed". Some time later they changed their name to Mandator and recorded a new demo, called "A.I.D.S. (Another Invisible Disease Strikes)". They were signed to Disaster Records in Germany, recorded their debut album and started a contest on the dutch radio for a name for their debut album. As you can see, that became "Initial velocity". It's a very good mix of power metal, speed metal, and old-school thrash metal. My personal favorites are 'Jack boots and leather caps', 'Black rose' and 'I will be your last'. Too bad the band broke up after their second album (Perfect Progeny). They could have been huge by now...
