Used, but in good condition...

This is the first offering from a band that has earned their reputation as death metal legends, despite a few disappointments here and there. Ten Commandments is easily Malevolent's best work, though it's now out of print and hard to find -- but if you can find it, I'd advise an immediate purchase ... it's one of the better CDs I have ever heard personally. A mix of powerful, aggressive Death and Thrash Metal both at their most intense and formidable, the album begins with a neat little intro that has a person talking ... but what makes it even neater are the great guitar riffs and drum beats playing during it instead of just a sound clip or something like most other bands do. Then it becomes a full face-shredding assault with the song "Premature Burial", one of the most aggressive, heaviest death metal songs in existence. It's actually kind of simple and follows an easy-to-pick-out formula, but the song is still great nonetheless. The next standout is the song "Multiple Stab Wounds" -- it easily wins the medal for the most brutal lyrics in all of metal without resulting in growling about raping babies or something. The song is unbelievable and ahead of its time in musical structure. Basically, the entire CD is comprised of fast Death/Thrash songs that are so raw and unrelenting you'd swear the songs are shredding your ears apart. The last song is another standout: simply titled "Malevolent Creation", it just has to be heard to be believed ... it is the best closing song I've ever heard. This metal masterpiece should be a part of everyone's collection.
