Ancient Wars is an outstanding album. Each song on here as well as the interludes are great, these guys are talented songwriters. This is in no way a "brutal" or "grim" album but rather melodious, majestic, and atmospheric. The vocalist lets loose with varied vocals, mixing in Death Metal growls with the more traditional Black Metal vocals. Excellent, excellent music and vocals.
