Le'rue Delashay - Musick In Theory and Practice

  | mCD

Le'rue Delashay-Musick In Theory and Practice Musick is the occult metaphysical exercise of a soul not knowing that it philosophizes. This long mini CD covers a wide range of medieval, darkambient, classical and orchestral styles. Le'rue Delashay is one of the many instrumental composers taking advantage of advancing MIDI technology to create orchestral soundscapes without the expense of a full blown symphony. The majority of "Musick in Theory and Practice" presents the score to an imaginary horror movie quite capably, actually outdoing the horrendous job Scott Vladmir Licina concocted for the blasphemous, ill conceived '30th Anniversary' edition of "Night of the Living Dead." In addition to four new tracks, a Beethoven cover ("Bagatelles, Op. 33, No.6") is included, as well as a bonus track from one of Le'rue's prior efforts (presumably out of print?). Overall the quality on "Musick" is very high, relying more on melody and chord progressions rather than the droning atmospherics most recordings of this ilk are guilty of indulging in. The only drawback is the disc's brevity (barely over half an hour) and the eight minute-plus unlisted bonus track which is of the same character as the rest of the album.
