It's very difficult to release a decent Full-Length debut, few bands have managed to create a great "First album", Kill By Numbers is one of them. "We Held Hands…" is not a polished release though, I am sure this guys can do way better, now, the great thing is that this CD is a brilliant release, I'm actually amazed with most tracks in this album, let me explain why:

The riffs in this CD are really catchy (feature lost in many Brutal bands); I am impressed with the way "Kill By Numbers" write and construct their songs, they were intelligent enough to add small guitar solos here and there for thrilling purposes. The vocal work is very good, guttural to the core, yet I'm sure Jessika (Vocalist) can and will do better in their next record. Then we have the bass-lines; I am not sure why, but they didn't list the bass player in the line-up, they only added a small phrase on the bottom of the "thanks to" section saying "Bass Guitar recorded by: Daniel Chaplin"…weird stuff because the bass is actually impressive, used marvelously in the intros, breakdowns, intermezzos and in some outros, so I can't understand why they omitted the bass in the line-up, but well that's actually not my fucking business.

"We Held hands..." is really interesting to hear, the main vein is Brutal Death, but there are enough structures and harmonious segments to say this is something else, I'm not sure how to call their music though. Summing things up, their music is a blasting experience filled with incredibly catchy riffs and brutal music. You'll hear catchy songs wrapped in destructive overtones and incredible structures ("Hellter Skelter", "I am Jesus", "Idiotic Cattle"), then you'll hear chaotic tunes with the most brutal approaches ("Kamazie Gas Chamber", "The Sound Dead Children Make") and so on. A great half hour of aggressive textures that will make you head-bang more than once.
