This album is fucking awesome, the drummer is amazing! I got this on CD format and all the songs are great but my favorite is the first one 'Moonlight Butchery' The riffs are so cold and dark, evil... GRIM!

This album is great. I got it on CD format, when i got it my solo project Black Torment just released 'Obscurum' When i put it in it really reminded me of that with the cold riffs. But then it had the celtic frost style guitar in 'Armageddon'!.

Very grim sounding, much rawer than "To Embrace.." or "Heaven In Flames". Keyboards are prominent here, both in the songs themselves and in the excellent intros by Puissance. The lo-fi sound allows for a nice blending of guitars and keys into an incredibly atmospheric blur that verges on dark ambient, especially in the rare moments when this predominantly slow to mid-paced music picks up speed. In many ways, these tracks are further explorations of the obscure dissonances that were so masterfully utilized on "Heaven In Flames"(and largely absent on the speedier, more muscular "To Embrace the Corpses Bleeding"). A further testament to Akhenaten's tireless explorations of the arcane corridors and moutain passes of a far-from-exhausted wellspring of malevolent sonics.
