In-Quest - Epileptic

  | CD

In-Quest-Epileptic Jesus. Thats what I thought when I first heard this metal masterpeice. This shit is simply amazing. I'm not one to jock bands, I usually only listen to about 5 CDs regularly. But these guys have been added to my regular rotation.

They took death metal and made it great again. In-Quest has several members of Aborted, who is also fabulous. But these guys play a widely different style of metal than Aborted.

They go from twisting grind parts to breakdowns unrivalled in amost any band I've heard in the past few years. They also have experimental parts thrown in abundantly. Their drummer must be snorting lines of coke off girls butts, because his style is not only great but inventive as hell.

The vocals range from a higher pitched scream to the obligitory deep death metal growl. They go perfectly along with the music, but I say that it's the music itself that makes this CD beautiful.

And just when I thought I couldn't like it more... they do a Pro-Pain cover song ("in for the kill"). So I'm going to end this review before I start sounding like a gushing little girl. But seriously... buy this freaking CD. This release will probably be the highest rated as far as technicality and origionality goes, that's for sure.
