Impulse Manslaughter was formed during the halcyon days of punk/metal crossover bands in the early-80s, releasing its first full-length LP, He Who Laughs Last...Laughs Alone in 1987 on Nuclear Blast. A string of singles and LPs followed, the band coughing up its last gasp around 1993 or so. Live At WFMU is a compilation album, of sorts, collecting bits and pieces of the obscure band's checkered career onto a single disc. The first seventeen tracks are from a long lost live recording, a radio broadcast circa 1993 that is previously unreleased. To fill out the CD, Beer City has included nearly a third of the band's aforementioned 1987 debut along with a handful of tracks from 1988's Logical End, the 1992 Sometimes EP and three songs from No War, a 1993 split EP with the band Provocation, a total of 38 blistering tunes altogether.
