IMPIOUS can be best categorized as a combination of Death Metal and Thrash Metal. It's not so much that every song has a bit of both, it's more that every song is different from each other, the one more Thrash Metal, the other more Death Metal. On top of that IMPIOUS also adds a dose of acoustic riffs, like in the intro and a track like "Deathsquad". The vocals are pretty much the typical growls you can find in Melodic Death Metal, and it suits the music fine.
