Rounding out IXXI's sonic identity are moments of hypnotic ambience, the likes of which are both mesmerizing and horrifying. At its core, Elect Darkness is a ghostly slab of black metal, a terrifying manifesto buried in hazy atmospherics and putrid guitars.
