Gundestrup cauldron… Cernunnos is watching us… The scenery of the new album of Himinbjorg is made. Welcome in the world of the Celtics and Pagans' legends Yes my friends this is the "Golden Age"! The last fantastic album of one of the most innovative bands hailing from France.

For those who don't know Himinbjorg, the band was formed in 1996 by Zahaah and Elvan [accompanied by Mathrien]. After 3 albums, the departure of Elvan and then a new line-up [Kahos and Anton], the band is coming with Golden Age their last production, which is certainly the most accomplished.

To begin, I must say that this style of black metal is not very easy of access, we are at the total opposite of the big productions that we can find in the metal scene actually. Here, no commercial attitudes and of this fact maybe some people will find Golden Age not very attractive. Well maybe… for some people, because the true metal lover's will understand quickly that we are with a pure jewel.

The tracks are dark and heavy, the guitar riffs are incisive like a razor blade and the general ambience of the album is just great. There is something of tribal in the songs that is just excellent. The voice of Zahaah sometimes in the pure black metal style and sometimes in the pure tribal Viking style helps it… It's a real pleasure to listen to it. Now, let's talk about the production, it's just perfect, Ludovic Tournier is certainly the best producer in France actually, all his productions are great and sound good… Nothing to say…

Same thing for the musicians of Himinbjorg who are also perfect! I can't say nothing wrong about them, to the opposite I will congratulate the fantastic drummer [Kahos] of the band, just listen to the Golden Age and you'll understand.

Well in the end, I will just recommend you this fantastic album of Himinbjorg, Golden Age. It's good and original…. All the true metalheads will be conquered. With this album Himinbjorg certainly becomes one of the leaders of the Pagan Metal scene. A must.
