Himinbjorgs fifth album is called Europa, and with it, they release another piece of magnificent pagan metal upon us. The music is like a mighty river: strong and steadily flowing along. I get the same feeling when I hear this stuff. Everything is played tight and the pagan atmosphere is really there in the riffs. Although I expected something more rough after there Golden Age cd, there are a lot of soothing parts to be found. Mostly because of the clean vocals, that is. I must say that I like their fastest and/or shortest songs best, they're Himinbjorgs best compositions. The longer songs can have a lot of atmosphere sometimes, but they tend to be a bit repetitive. This minor drawback is the only flaw I could think of (I can't be all positive, now can I). Apart from that, not a bad word. Definitely a must-hear for paganmetal fans.
