| One of the most anticipated releases, for me, this year. This is clearly the best of the Hate Forest releases so far; and that's saying something. This is the "The Most Ancient Ones" what "Blood & Fire" was to "Scythia", meaning that it picks up right from where "The Most Ancient Ones" left off expaning on the material and engaging in some lengthy, epic tracks (2 are over 11 minutes). The album isn't as vicious as the "The Most Ancient Ones" but the production gives the songs a much stronger base than before and the riffs are far better and more memorable, not that there was anything wrong with the previous ones. The vocals are growled in a manner, much more inhuman than ever before and the screams from the second vocalist are more prominant this time around. This is monumental. The way underground black metal should be played. No frills or spills. To top it all off, the layout, althouh minimal is brilliant. Another winner for Supernal Music then. |

| This album is one of the best that I have ever heard. It is a lot better than "The Most Ancient Ones." It makes one feel cold inside when listening to it. In some parts it is very emotional in my opinion. It's not as hateful as "The Most Ancient Ones," but it still has lots of very hateful riffs in the songs. I highly, highly recommend this album. 14/88! RAHOWA! |
