| This cd is a great piece of raw, fucked up south-american death metal. It consists of 8 tracks of pure darkness. Singer Edgar Noise screams, grunts and growls the words over the violently raw guitar work of John Agressor and Christ Death. The session drummer Robinson also does a terrific work. The streanght of this album is the abillity to make every song sound special, even if they are all in the same narrow vein. The introducing track "Human extinction" is a starts of with a typical moody intro and then blasts of into a inferno of simple riff, heavy drums and a lot of screaming and growling. Just excelent! The eight and finishing track of the studio recorded material is the groovy (if this word can be used in this genre) "The oracle of the bleeding head" is a fine piece also. If you doesn't sitt (or stand) headbanging your head with a smile to this one you're nuts. Highlights of the album is the above mentioned and "dark language of a supreme god". The live bonus tracks ("Caligula" and "Altar of sacrifice" is recorded in 1991 with a different line up, consisting of John Agressor Capcha (guitars), Christ Death (guitars), Abel Sedition (bass), Daniel Demolation (drums) and Civtor Necropenis on vocals. Except a bit of a hollow sound the live tracks isn't much worse in sound than the studio tracks. To sum up, this is a must-buy for all who favour bands like Sarcofago and raw death metal. |
