HADES, despite their simplistic approach, sound like they gave their all on this one. The first 2 songs harbor more sincerity than the re-recorded 'Again Shall Be' versions; they sound damn threatening, perhaps because they were recording in a time when Black Metal *WAS* threatening. The awesome "Alone Walkyng" closes this demo [ In a darker, more guttural form than the 'Dawn Of The Dying Sun' version ], a song i think everyone into Extreme Metal needs to hear. There's a lot of feeling here, feeling that surfaces so rarely in today's 'underground' that I'm compelled to say Black Metal is more-or-less dead. Buy this MCD and relive the past!
