This album marks a big change from their previous release Light of Day, Day of Darkness. It's much more progressive and contemporary along the line of mid career Floyd or even a less pretensious and more straigth forward and contemporary latter day Anthema. It's a hard rock sound with pieces of piano, organ and a little synth sprinkled and even featured throughout. Some double bass here and there, great productuion, clean vocals that remind me of David Bowie and In the Woods. Excellent Bass guitar and writing.

It's a damn solid release, every track has something to sepperate it's self, consistently interesting and enjoyable, some moments even give me shivers, one of my top ten picks for this year.

In conclusion, if you liked the previous releases along with the more cohesive, rock orientated In the Woods material and progressive hard rock with piano, organ and synth, clean vocals, and great bass served up in all-tempo access...then this album is highly reccomended for you.

The best album ever created. Not song, but album. Never once does it get boring or repetitious. Insane drums and guitar - buy it now!

Fucking epic. Not once in the entirety of this album does it get boring, as one might expect from a one hour, one track production. Green Carnation utilize enough variety to keep the listener's interest, while maintaining a cohesive sound that makes this one hour-long song (rather than a collection of songs not separated into tracks). "Gotic Metal" best describes Light of Day, Day of Darkness.
