This is the debut-CD from Dortmund's Gorbalrog, and it is a rather interesting CD indeed. The band does hardly use any of the stereotypes many Black Metal bands do, but this is very independent. Starting with a accoustical riff, followed by a blastpart that could have been on Satyricon's "The Shadowthrone", they develop into a total different direction. A mixture of thrash-influenced riffs, blastparts, some danceable parts ("Sternengriff") and many other ingredients, but the mainpoints is that they always keep an eye on good melodies and well- structured songs.
