After the dissolving of legendary doom rock group THE OBSESSED, Greg Rogers (drums) and Guy Pinhas (bass) joined forces anew with ex-ENGINE KID guitarist Greg Anderson in late 1996. Shortly there after, vocalist Pete Stahl (WOOL/SCREAM) joined the fold and GOATSNAKE was birthed. Their diverse backgrounds culminate in a much heavier sound than all their previous groups combined. This is all crushing heavy rock with a vocal style which innovates rather than imitates. Imagine Ozzy with Stevie Wonder's soul, and you begin to understand the pure massiveness known as GOATSNAKE. BURNING WITCH rose from the ashes of THORR'S HAMMER in late 1995, a continuing collaboration of members Stephen O'Malley, Greg Anderson, and Jamie Sykes. G. Stuart Dahlquist entered the rank on bass adding a distinct characteral element to the already heavy, massive sound. With the addition of vocalist Edgy 59 the mold was broken, and a unique beast was berthed.
