To be honest I don't think I had ever even heard of this band before. On the label's website it says this is a CD-release of two essential and classic death metal-demos. I suppose I have to agree, even though I've never heard Genocrush Ferox before. Two demos from the late 90ies have been respawned here through the great and promising new label Escorbuto. And I'm really fucking glad this was released again, otherwise I would have missed out on a great band.

This is some seriously brutal and high quality shit. The guitars are brutal as hell with some ferocious drumming. Just fucking kick-ass all the way! And it surely doesn't hurt that the vocals are also top notch. Some really original and great growling, and original goes for the rest of the music too. I have no idea what to compare Genocrush to. You'll just have to trust me when I say this is as original as it kicks ass, and it sure as hell kicks some major butt!
With this great music you get a booklet with lyrics and a short biography of the band. The biography explains why this band broke up, but it's too damn bad they did. Trust me when I say: Buy dammit! -mylastchapter
