Fuck Off & Die!-Anti All Vampire-magazine.com - Kate Topacio, Netherlands Fuck Off And Die is just as bold as ever in the 2nd album "Anti All". This solo project of Kommander L. has come up with 17 tracks this time, 14 original and 3 remakes. The first half of the album consists of tracks each introduced by dramatically intriguing samples, mostly catchy conversations you'll surely enjoy listening to especially if you're a gossip-freak. It starts off with a very commendable sample of splattered fluid which really implies fresh blood gushing out of raw flesh, and the blast of music that follows perfectly matches the gore. All the samples eat up a good length of the tracks but once the song itself begins, the aggression of the thrashy, raw and mostly misogynistic compositions is simply nonstop; even the 38-second track "Nothing Happens..." is, shall we say, 'action-packed'. The bass in general is louder than the rest, and the drumwork is also excellent (only it was just programmed).

By simply listening, you'll know that there are no melancholic intentions whatsoever because all sound effects are used for satirical purposes and the theme is obviously just freaking hate. And even without those sound effects, Fuck Off And Die's instrumental portrayal alone is a realization of his craft as naturally exuded by anger and agitation. All of his originals in this album are short mad tracks that burst with bruising speed (except the almost-11-minute war broadcast of track 8) and they're all very similar to one another that the songs at the latter part, including the remakes, seem to just spoil the identity of the record. For instance, the Cripple Bastards cover of "I Hate Her" only seemed like a System of a Down song inserted in the album, and even though it's probably intentional, Kommander L.'s voice is just desperately bluffed at "Nugaleti" - just hearing it from somewhere can be frustrating, and worse, suffocating. The last two tracks, which are originals, sound a little outcast, too. "Without Emotions I Observing" is obviously too groovy for Fuck Off And Die - it doesn't seem to fit in. And finally, the atmospheric outro of "And Everything Will Return In Silence.." is just devoid of the austere feel of the other tracks which makes it a bit unfitting, too.

Being divided into portions that arouse differing opinions, what conclusion can then be derived from this album? Well, after listening to the entire "Anti All", it's still clear that Fuck Off And Die's music is totally wild and brutal but not beastly nor unearthly - it's purely human, with all it's excellence and flaws, but definitely not sober.
