FROM BEYOND - ISSUE #7 (48 pages)
Interviews: ABOMINATOR, KAAMOS, JUDAS ISCARIOT, MORTEM, VOMITOR, ABHORRENCE, DECEASED, SKITZO & more.
Just like the above zine, I got this issue through trade & not directly from the zine crew directly. This zine was really good with the last issue, but has gotten even better with this issue. They have improved it a lot in many areas. They have added more pages & a better layout. the zine is still full sized, done all in black & white on glossy paper & is all professionally printed. There are tons of graphiocs, editorial page, interviews, photos, zine reviews, Metal comix, DVD & video reviews, music reviews & much more. There's also cool articles on Wacken Open Air Festival, Japan Shock Entertainment & more. I highly recommend that covers extreme Metal & horror!!!

Returning from the depths of hell for another round is Norway's best death
metal publication, none other than
From Beyond 'Zine! This has to be the thickest issue yet with a lot more
non-metal content than in the past. What
truly astounds me about every issue of Harald's fine 'zine is that he's
responsible for 99% of the material! You'll
understand what I mean if you pick up a copy. The guy is immersed in metal
24 hours a day 365 days a fuckin' year!!

Within this 48-page, black-and-white mag, you'll get in-depth interviews
with cult stalwarts such as DECEASED... (gods!!),
ABOMINATOR, MORTEM, SKITZO, DESTROYER 666, and JUDAS ISCARIOT (killer!)
alongside up-and-coming bands like VOMITOR, KAAMOS, and ABHORRENCE,
and a short feature on FURZE. Of course, there are the requisite TON of
reviews, whether its CDs you're looking for, or demos,
7"s/vinyl, and a fucking horde of mag/'zine write-ups! And not to forget,
Wacken Open Air 2002 is spotlighted in two pages with lots of
cool photos! As mentioned, there's non-metal content in the form of two
well-written columns covering
the beloved horror and cult film. The first is a detailed feature on Jim
Van Bebber's celluloid carnage while the second focuses
on Japanese exploitation. There's also the "Morbid Visions" column loaded
with reviews of all
our favorite spaghetti splatter! Lastly, there is a revealing interview
with Man Behind the Sun director T.F. Mous
that's been reprinted from The Dark Side Magazine. Is that not enough for
you yet? Well, check out the gruesome cover art
and interior comics by Tales from Uranus mastermind Jake Karns!

I really can't say enough good things about From Beyond. Harald obviously
puts a lot of hard work into each issue, as evidenced
by all the material within as well as the absolutely kick-ass layout and
graphics. Of the plethora of features here,
only three are by people other than him! Order directly from Red Stream
(who now publish it) for the lowest price
and fast shipping, but get in touch with Harald just so he can have a
million and one contacts, haha! Hail!!
