Ferosity - Overthrown Divinity

I guess «Overthrown Divinity» would generally be filed in the (American influenced) brutal death metal section… and I agreed with this description. With a huge old school spirit and with technical guitar riffs schemes, you can expect some brutal death metal with an obvious American background. After several listens, I yet arrive to the conclusion that Ferosity have a lot more to than just another Dying Fetus, Immolation or Cannibal Corpse clone though. The overall theme is aggressive yet melodic riffing, guttural and incomprehensible vocals and above all fast paced yet groovy bass drums frameworks, however on closer listening there is a much greater depth to the music of this Polish five pieces and whilst not the most ground-breaking and innovative album in the nowadays everyday releases, the quality of the execution and the overall atmosphere generated make «Overthrown Divinity» stand out from the crowd. Brutal, groovy and technical.
