And the first impression is correct, mainly very fast Black Metal, often quite repetitive, is the dish of this platter. What makes the band differ from the legions of other bands is the use of keyboards/piano and that the main colour of the booklet is white! Not too usual...

"The Song Of Suffering (Eleven Blades Of Darkness)", on which HOLLENTHON's Martin Schirenc has taken over the lead vocals and there also are some very good cleanly sung passages, which is mostly held in rather slow- to mid-paced tempo with quite many melodies.


Diabolicum one of the greatest improvements on Industrial Black Metal since Mysticum. They provide the listener with a wickedly sinister atmosphere, enhancing their already extreme, edgy, Black Metal sound with Industrial influences and incorporating sample tracks that maintain that atmosphere. The samples are both haunting and terrifying and are designed to spread Diabolicum's devotion to hatred. The musical performance is fierce, with instruments all keeping a breakneck pace and harsh vocals providing an excellent complement. The Industrial elements providing a mechanical coldness to the performance more so than their previous album, which was a bit more traditional, but Diabolicum keep up that sinister nature here. The production quality is excellent as well, and Diabolicum will not disappoint! Diabolicum seeks the complete destruction of all life and hate's everything about you and your existence!
