This Italian foursome, does an interesting job in mixing some violins, keyboards and orchestral passages with a strong form of death metal. Actually their death metal is maybe near to that of early At the Gates with a touch of Therion (from their 2nd album) and some early Paradise Lost. Some times they tend to slow and sound more like a doom/death band, but it gives this release some variety. There are some choirs here and there and some female voices, but they do not abuse of this option. Actually, it does all sound similar to many bands, but I like the fact that most of the times they keep it heavy. They do actually come with some sad and strong atmosphere. The presentation is also on a great digipack format and comes with a great production. Actually an interesting band, for those looking for something else than just pure aggression, but still heavy and strong.
