Ok, first I have to admit this is the first thing from Contagious Orgasm that I listen to. Yes, I know, it's bad. But this might not be the last release from this japanese band that I check, because this short 7" is quite interessant. A brief word about the packaging: the 7" comes in a folded poster with a nice red / pink design, that is clearly nicer than just a plain sleeve.

I was expecting something noisy, or at least electronic, and I was very wrong. The three members of Contagious Orgasm play a very strange kind of music, mixing a lot of accoustic elements (percussions, turntables, fucked up electric guitars), sample them all, and play them in an seeminlg random way that makes senses once you have listened to the tracks several times.

"Loop Contimanation" contains oriental choirs that answer with beauty to the overall weird atmosphers of the percussions and the guitar (but remember this never gets really noisy), while "Earache Floor" feature a more steady, echoed beat, on which some metal percussions, voices and screams are added. Both tracks sound like nothing else (except maybe, for some early Einstürzende Neubauten influences on "Earache Floor") , and have a very heavy experimental feeling.

There is not so much too say about this, partly because it's just a 7", and also because I am unable to compare it with other works from Contagious Orgasm, but these two tracks are nice plays with accoustic sounds and samples, for a result that sounds deep and well thought, but never noisy or aggressive.
